F-CRIN is launching a new call for expressions of interest to select a platform capable of strengthening its skills in supporting international clinical research projects. The closing date for applications is April 30, 2026.
Set up in 2012, F-CRIN (French Clinical Research Infrastructure Network) is a national platform dedicated to the development of French clinical research. It is led by Inserm in association with hospitals, healthcare manufacturers and universities, and supported by the French National Research Agency and the Ministry of Health. Its mission is to federate clinical research players in order to strengthen the international competitiveness and attractiveness of French research, develop the expertise of professionals by pooling know-how, resources and means, and thus accelerate the appropriation of new practices and the development of new therapeutic solutions.
Today, F-CRIN is based on a federative model structured around 28 components: 26 thematic clinical research networks, a cutting-edge expertise platform to deploy major national or international projects, and a national coordination unit, the infrastructure's headquarters, based in Toulouse, France. F-CRIN is also the French interface to the European clinical research network ECRIN, to promote the participation of French teams and centers in multinational clinical trials.
Within this framework, the infrastructure wishes to complete its range of expertise by calling on two new supports:
- Operational support for international projects, including monitoring, regulatory procedures and local pharmacovigilance. These services can be provided if required on behalf of the study sponsor or one of its partners. In particular, they will be called upon within the framework of the F-CRIN / ECRIN partnership for European projects coordinated outside France.
- Support for the provision of training to enhance the skills of those involved in clinical research.
Other support may be proposed with the aim of improving the performance of clinical research in France.
Organizations wishing to offer their expertise and join the F-CRIN infrastructure should submit their application by submitting the application file (available for download at the end of this article) by April 30, 2026, 24:00, by email to contact.fcrin@inserm.fr. Only French non-profit organizations will be able to apply.
The evaluation of applications will be carried out by F-CRIN's international scientific council in June 2026. The successful candidate will be able to join the infrastructure as of September 1, 2026. The selected platform will be able to benefit from the dynamics of the F-CRIN infrastructure and from spin-off activity; however, no specific funding will be paid.
